Area:
In BASF, our Finance Order-to-Cash (F-O2C) team is essential for ensuring efficiency and reliability in the financial management of our operations in the Americas. From HUB Montevideo, we cover processes from the moment of sale to the moment of customer payment and are responsible for key areas such as treasury and cash management, accounts receivable, collections management, credit management, intercompany reconciliation, and master data for customers and suppliers. Our goal is to maintain robust and agile processes, minimize financial and operational risks, and promote continuous innovation through the digitalization and automation of tasks.
Main Objective of the Position:
To be responsible for daily bank reconciliation and cash flow management for small and medium-sized countries.
Main Tasks:
- Reconcile bank accounts for the companies within scope, driving automation through Autobank.
- Estimate daily cash flow by gathering information from various sources and reporting it to the Regional Treasury or Germany Treasury headquarters as appropriate.
- Execute the month-end close for the companies within scope in a timely manner.
- Perform the daily upload of exchange rates in SAP.
- Prepare monthly variation analyses, as well as quarterly and annual footnotes.
- Provide requested information to auditors as needed
Minimum Education and Qualification Requirements for the Position:
- Education | University degree or advanced student in Accounting or Business Administration.
- Work Experience | 1 to 3 years of experience in finance or accounting
- Languages | Advanced proficiency in English, both oral and written. Portuguese valued.
- Technical Skills | IBasic accounting knowledge is mandatory, and basic knowledge of SAP is valued.
- Soft Skills | Strong communication skills, attention to detail, collaboration, and teamwork.
