What is this position about?
We are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to work on the core foundation of a platform that enables brands and retailers to gain a deeper understanding of the cognitive attributes of their online customers. Using AI and NLP technologies, the client analyzes the retailer's product catalog, generating valuable insights that enhance the shopping experience for their customers.
The e-commerce platform has a proven track record of helping several fashion retailers globally to increase their top and bottom-line revenues significantly, with 7 out of the top 25 fashion retailers already benefiting from their platform's capabilities.

You may work 100% remotely if you are currently living in LATAM, or you can always join us at the office!

What will I be doing?
- Contributing to a new project, involving prompt engineering and development.
- Developing and maintaining Python-based tooling, including machine learning tools for training and configuration storage.
- Working with data handling, data pipelines, and ETL processes to collect, clean, and preprocess data for analysis.
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement machine learning (ML) solutions tailored to meet specific business needs.
- Leveraging Azure APIs and infrastructure to support proof of concepts (POCs) and ML model deployment.
- Implementing MLOps practices to streamline ML model deployment and management in production environments.

What expertise do I need?
- Studies in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in Python, PyTorch and SciPy.
- Skilled in ETL processes.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, Azure preferred.
- Strong background in SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Ability to effectively train machine learning models is essential.
- Exposure to NLP is a plus.

Excellent written and verbal English for clear and effective communication is a must!

How much experience must I have?
