Area:
In the Montevideo HUB, we have the Human Resources Services (HRS) area, where we accompany the employee journey of more than 23,000 BASF employees from their entry to their exit. In March 2021, we began building the Human Resources team for the Americas, which today has more than 200 people impacting the entire BASF value chain. Among other things, it is responsible for attracting and recruiting talent, developing the Employer Brand, working on people development, designing the compensation and benefits package, and operating the administrative processes related to Human Resources management.
Main Objective of the Position:
Time and Attendance Analysts will manage the attendance and hours of approximately 7,000 non-exempt employees in the United States and Canada to ensure that working hours are accurately paid according to BASF's common wage rules, site rules, or negotiated union contracts.
Main Tasks:
• Time Review: Review reports to identify potential payroll-related issues, such as excessive hours, incorrect time clock entries, or other serious errors that may prevent an employee from being paid accurately.
• Time Approval: Respond to employee questions about time approval. Work with employees and supervisors to determine why time was not approved. Determine if it was a training issue, a time entry issue, or a potential technical issue.
• Timesheet Correction: Assist an employee in correcting a timesheet that was entered incorrectly and be the subject matter expert to answer technical and process-related questions about time and attendance.
• Training Documents: Keep an updated library of time and attendance training documents.
• Demand Planning and Shift Schedule Changes: Assist employees and company timekeepers with temporary and permanent shift changes to help them manage their business needs.
• Error Escalation: Effectively identify an issue that may affect multiple people on the site. Work with site management to diagnose, rectify, and effectively communicate to employees and other internal HR operations teams in the Hub and Legal entity.
• Work with IT to ensure that system changes are correct, holding regular meetings, conducting tests, and documenting them.
• Management and attendance of weekly meetings previously scheduled by collaborators regarding Time & Att. topics.
Minimum Education and Qualification Requirements
• Education: Advanced student or graduate in Business Administration, Accounting, or related fields.
• Working Experience: 1-3 years of work experience.
• Language skills: Advanced English.
• Technical skills: Advanced Microsoft Office and desired SAP.
• Soft Skills: Attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment, good communication, and organizational skills.
